Our local church Scholarship Fund can also help you pursue a church-related vocation of ordained ministry, mission work, specialized ministry in music, youth work, or Christian education. The funds can be used to cover the cost of books, rent, food, tuition, or even spending money. This may be just what you need to make things a little easier next semester.

Eligibility

Show a sincere interest in entering a church-related vocation.

Be an active member of Hollywood United Methodist Church.

Be an above-average student showing evidence of acceptance by an accredited school or college. To apply, submit an application (available from the church office) with three (3) letters of recommendation from non-relatives. An interview will be scheduled.

Monetary donations to our church’s Flower Fund can be made any time throughout the year by writing “Flower Fund” on an offering envelope. We use these funds to purchase or refurbish the silk arrangement in the sanctuary, and to purchase fresh flowers for holidays. If you would like to provide a fresh floral arrangement from your garden for a specific Sunday, perhaps to honor a loved one, contact Beverly Branch at 301-373-4206 or bevbranch@md.metrocast.net.

We will resume collecting items in September 2023.

We distribute food to about 20 students in need at Hollywood Elementary. We are again asking for donations of food as well as the large grocery bags from Target. The list of needed items is available below. Thank you for your continued support of this vital ministry!
